چکیده

The article deals with the recent developments in fuel industry, considering permanent increasing requirements for quality and environmental safety. work aims to study various technological modes at rectification unit produce bioethanol from lignocellulosic biomass. main goals are solve applied scientific problems of rational designing optimization obtain boundaries energy consumption ensure sufficient a consumer. Recent approaches numerical simulation chemical processes were operating optimize parameters. plant model was designed modules that allow us simulate efficiently accurately all primary units equipment. methodology based on activity coefficient UNIFAC phase equilibrium applied. As result, mixture 74% 9% impurities obtained brew column. In epuration column, 46% 2.2% bottoms. Finally, alcohol mass fraction distillate 96.9% 2.7% reached. results can be technologies corresponding biofuel plants.

Attainable region analysis for continuous production of second generation bioethanol

BACKGROUND Despite its semi-commercial status, ethanol production from lignocellulosics presents many complexities not yet fully solved. Since the pretreatment stage has been recognized as a complex and yield-determining step, it has been extensively studied. However, economic success of the production process also requires optimization of the biochemical conversion stage. This work addresses t...

Association Mapping in Scandinavian Winter Wheat for Yield, Plant Height, and Traits Important for Second-Generation Bioethanol Production

A collection of 100 wheat varieties representing more than 100 years of wheat-breeding history in Scandinavia was established in order to identify marker-trait associations for plant height (PH), grain yield (GY), and biomass potential for bioethanol production. The field-grown material showed variations in PH from 54 to 122 cm and in GY from 2 to 6.61 t ha(-1). The release of monomeric sugars ...

Performance Modeling of Power Generation System of a Thermal Plant

The present paper discusses the development of a performance model of power generation system of a thermal plant for performance evaluation using Markov technique and probabilistic approach. The study covers two areas: development of a predictive model and evaluation of performance with the help of developed model. The present system of thermal plant under study consists of four subsystems with...

Inhibitor tolerance and flocculation of a yeast strain suitable for second generation bioethanol production

Background: Robust second generation bioethanol processes require microorganisms able to ferment inhibitory lignocellullosic hydrolysates. In this study, the inhibitor tolerance and flocculation characteristics of Saccharomyces cerevisiae CCUG53310 were evaluated in comparison with S. cerevisiae CBS8066. Results: The flocculating strain CCUG53310 could rapidly ferment all hexoses in dilute acid...

Engineering a wild-type diploid Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain for second-generation bioethanol production

BACKGROUND The cost-effective production of second-generation bioethanol, which is made from lignocellulosic materials, has to face the following two problems: co-fermenting xylose with glucose and enhancing the strain's tolerance to lignocellulosic inhibitors. Based on our previous study, the wild-type diploid Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain BSIF with robustness and good xylose metabolism gene...
